What is the CastHopper©?
CastHopper© is a Broadcasging/Webcasting utility that allows stations
to provide both audio and interactive visual entertainment through the
use of Web 'Cruises'.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, it allows non-broadcasters to use the broadcast/webcast
streams from multiple stations to provide customized programming with the same
unique audio/visual techniques.Take a short cruise -->

Skype(tm) and SkypeCasters "find" CastHopper!
Sep 21, 2006 - Skype(tm) and SkypeCasters can now "Show and Tell!.
While talking or conferencing with other Skype(tm) users, they can now
create a 'virtual' link with their internet browsers, (including on web enabled PDAs and Cell
Phones), so that where the moderator goes on his/her browser, all of the participant's
browsers also go. The moderator can also control the media player of participants for
'background' music from online radio stations. Whether they are showing 'slides', giving
web site/application demonstrations, or simply exploring the internet, every participant is
on the same page.
Of course Skype not only lets internet users talk to each other for free, it also allows
them to make telephone calls to regular telephones anywhere (for a low fee), has its own voice
mail for when the user is not at their computer and many more features. If you haven't got
Skype yet, just click on their logo at the right. As a standalone utility is is
something everyone should have... But for WJ's using the CastHopper, it provides a
super enhancement... talk to your audience without having a broadcast stream, AND, they
can talk back!
"Cast Hopping" WJ's - The Future of WebCasting?
(Pronounced "dub jays")
Sep 04, 2006 - Are "WJ"s (Web Jockeys) the future of WebCasting? Web Jockeys do not do their
own or operate their own webcast streams; rather, armed with a WebCruise CastHopper© and directories of current webcasts such as Shoutcast and Icecast, they "arrange" and "broadcast" their own shows. And are capable of generating their own revenue streams without the cost of bandwidth, technical problems, etc., giving them virtually unlimited profit potential. They really don't even need (but it helps) a high-speed internet connection. A dial-up connection will do. Or even a wireless device like a PDA.

A WJ...
Simply put...
- WJs let some other 'tech whiz' go to the time and expense of establishing
webcast (or broadcast) stations.
- They let someone else worry about finding content.
- They don't even need a broadband connection. (I can do it from my PDA)
- They get a FREE WebCruise CastHopper to give them the ability to provide
a mix of both audio AND visual interaction with their audience... (they DO NOT rebroadcast anyone's stream, only direct which stream their the media players
of their participants are tuned to at any given moment.)
- THEY choose the streams/content of audio to provide to their listeners
at any given moment, AND the visual content (web pages) that are shown during
that audio content...
- THEY POSITION THEMSELVES TO GET THE BEST ADVERTISERS by being able to
put the advertiser's web page in front of their audience during
commercial breaks.
- No cost, just revenue, AND PURE FUN FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR AUDIENCES!
