Interact with your audience
with audio AND visual media...
Including Web sites, Photos, Videos, Flash presentations and more...

What is it?

At its most basic level, it is a unique technology that joins the internet browsers of any size group of people, regardless of the internet browser they use, the type of computer or even the operating system, and does it without the need to download any software. This includes web enabled wireless devices like PDAs and cell phones. Users need only click the button to join the group, and they are connected.

Once connected, the group leader can surf to any website, or a conference type slide presentation... and the web browsers of every member of the group will immediately show the same page. That's not nearly all it will do, but first let's explore the possibilities of just this feature.

WebCruise CastHopper© Interactive Conferencing...

Developer Eric:"I initially designed this to provide a new method of eliciting interaction for the broadcast, mainly radio, industry. But they didn't seem to understand it; neither did many webcasters.  But the kids, especially the MySpace kids 'got it'. 'A la carte' web streams they control and direct to their OWN audience from the stream (and websites) they want their audience to see and hear... without the cost, but with a great, targeted revenue potential...

The CastHopper/StreamHopper wasn't originally the name, just sort of a description that stuck. But we're quickly changing it to the WebCruise "Cast Hopper", and developing even more functionality. Within the week, the WJs will have a 'built in' directory of their favorite streams, so that they'll simply have to click once to change the streams to their audience. There will be a WebCruise Directory of all currently active CastHopper sites... And there is more innovation in the works. "

"Cast Hopping" WJ's - The Future of WebCasting?
(Pronounced "dub jays")

Are "WJ"s (Web Jockeys) the future of WebCasting? Web Jockeys do not do their own or operate their own webcast streams; rather, armed with a WebCruise CastHopper© and directories of current webcasts such as Shoutcast and Icecast, they "arrange" and "broadcast" their own shows. And are capable of generating their own revenue streams without the cost of bandwidth, technical problems, etc., giving them virtually unlimited profit potential. They really don't even need (but it helps) a high-speed internet connection. A dial-up connection will do. Or even a wireless device like a PDA.

You have a group of people spread around the world to which you need to give a presentation, or to show/demonstrate web pages or sites across the internet. Some use Microsoft systems, some use MAC's, some use various flavors of UNIX/LINUX. Some have Microsoft browsers, some Mozilla/Netscape browsers, etc. Some may be on the run and only have their PDA or cell phone handy at the moment. Regardless, with one click each, all of their browsers are connected to yours. You designate/go to any page/presentation etc. on the internet, and the browsers of everyone else in the group automatically displays the same page. Or maybe you are the one on the run; no problem, use your web enabled wireless device (PDA/Cell Phone) to view/designate the required pages, and all of the other browsers will follow. And more...

What else it will do...

  • User favorite lists

  • Pre-programmed tour lists

  • Create and Display Ad-Hoc Snap Polls and Surveys for immediate participant interaction and results

  • Use of pre-made or ad-hoc presentation slide pages

  • Interactive text chat between users

  • WinAmp / Shoutcast live broadcast by group leaders so that participants can HEAR a presentation... (usually limited to groups of 100 or less)

  • Anyone/anywhere can add the application to their own web page (even internet community websites like MySpace, MSN Live.com, PathConnect, etc.) by simply adding a few lines to their web page. But every user will then see the banner advertising you control. Because of this application's popularity demonstrated by our MySpace focus group, that could be several hundred million impressions per day! (We expect that just on MySpace the application will spread like wildfire through their 50 million user base...)

  • If you are sitting in the airport when a client calls and needs something that you need to "show and tell" on the internet? No problem. You can link to his/her browser (or a group of hundreds) from you web enabled wireless device (PDA/Cell Phone, etc.). If directed groups often from my Treo 650 pda, even while lunching at Taco Bell or in the car (I wasn't driving)!

There is something about the feeling of power when I know that I'm controlling hundreds of browsers with my little ol' Treo!
